Chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Prithviraj Raj Chavan said that state government is planning to build an international cruise terminal at Mumbai port to magnetize international cruise tourists from Europe and us who now are moving towards to either Malaysia are Singapore. State government sends a proposal to central government of India. In this proposal state government said Mumbai Port has a lot of potential and Mumbai port could be destinations of International cruise tourists and grab more foreign tourists. This announcement is address by Maharashtra CM at the convention of Indian Association of Tour Operators. He said if international cruise terminal get setup it also help us to improve our economy. He also said that we have getting a number of requests from the tour operators as well as passengers who wants to use the services of cruise terminal. Tourism minister of Maharashtra Mr. Chhagan Bhujbal said Maharashtra received a record number of foreign tourists in year 2010-11, most of the international tourist use Mumbai as gateway of India tourism.
