The tourism department of Kerala has taken a decision to manage Vellar Tourist Village, which has been operated by Kudumbasree from last three year. The department is arranging weaving unit, sales counter for ethnic saris and arts and crafts for a new venture in this village. The Department is also in a mood to give an amphitheatre for staging dance and drama performances. These events are popularised by various travel desk and local hotel of Kerala. The tourism department is not interested to put extra money in this projects but the tourism department also said we will add some value to make it popula.
The Tourism Department said that feel the life experience of villagers in Vellar Tourist Village Kovalam. This village is developed as a line of Dilli Haat it has been located in New Delhi within 15 acre land.
