Day 01: Arrival at Delhi

Light and Sound Show at Red Fort - Delhi Go Heritage India Journeys representative will receive you at the airport and then escort you to the hotel. Check-in at the hotel on assistance.

Delhi, the national capital of India is a prolific tourist destination in India. The heritage as well as the colorful cultural life of Delhi is attractions to the tourists. The booming metro lifestyle of Delhi seems like a European metro. From its ancient monuments to the colonial monuments Delhi houses lots of tourists’ attractions.

In the evening you will be taken for the Light and Sound Show Programme in Red Fort. This show briefs the history of Delhi in a spectacular way. A special dinner will be served to you. After dinner, stay overnight.

Day 02: Delhi

Raj Ghat Memorial - Delhi After breakfast, set out your full day sightseeing tour in Delhi. First proceed towards Raj Ghat Memorial to pay tribute to the Father of Nation. Then drive to Red Fort and explore the palaces and gardens of this majestic Mughal Fort. Enjoy a rickshaw ride to Jama Masjid. This Old Delhi part of Delhi was the erstwhile the Shahjahanabad walled city of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. You can also walk past the Chandi Chowk market, the oldest market of Delhi.

After lunch, tour the monuments of New Delhi. The major hub of the British India New Delhi houses the colonial monuments like Rastrapati Bhawan, India Gate, Delhi University, etc. In New Delhi one will see the skyscrapers and the chic lifestyle in its full colors and sounds. Drive past the Rastrapati Bhawan, Parliament building. Explore the India Gate, Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, National Gallery, etc.

In the evening you will be taken for a dance show. After dinner, stay overnight.

Day 03: Delhi - Agra: (By Road 201 Kms/4 hr)

Taj Mahal Agra With Rajasthan On the 3rd day of Rajasthan Rajput heritage tour with Taj Mahal you will drive to Agra. On the way drive you will explore the Indian countryside. On arrival take the hotel. Drop your luggage at the hotel and then proceed for Agra sightseeing.

First visit the Agra Fort, the majestic red sandstone fort located on the bank of the river Yamuna. This fort was originally built by the Jaipur kings and later Akbar and Shah Jahan added new buildings to this fort. This is the fort in which more than 6 Mughal emperors lived and even Sher Shah Suri also annexed this fort from Mughal and lived for a while. The major attractions are the palaces and gardens locate inside the fort. Then visit the Baby Taj built by the Mughal Empress Nur Jahan, the most influential queen in the Jehangir capital in memory of his father.

Then walk past the city and explore is hidden beauty. After dinner stay overnight.

Day 04 : Agra - Bharatpur: (By Road 55 km in 1 hr) Bharatpur - Ranthambore (by train)

Rajasthan Ranthambore Heritage Tour In the early morning explore the amazing Taj Mahal built by Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife. The white marble architecture of Taj looks more beautiful at the sunset time. Explore its interiors and exteriors.

Then drive to Bharatpur enroute visiting the deserted Mughal capital Fatehpur Sikri. It was the capital of Mughal Emperor Akbar for a short period of time. Explore the tombs and the largest gateway in the world, Bulund Darwaza.

Continue drive to Bharatpur and on arrival take the train to Ranthambore. You will reach in the evening and on arrival check-in at the jungle resort.

Ranthambore National Park is one of the most visited wildlife destinations of India and this park of Rajasthan is famous for the population of the royal Bengal tiger. The geographical topography of Ranthambore is diverse; it is located in between the Aravalli and Vindhyas range. The lakes and the rivers add beauty to the natural surrounding of the park. It is one of the best parks in India for tiger viewing.

Day 05 : Ranthambhore

In the early morning set out your guided jungle safari in the park. You might be lucky to spot a tiger. You will surely spot other wild animals in the park.

After lunch, take rest. In the afternoon again go for jungle safari. Explore the Ranthambore Fort and proceed to the lakes of Ranthambore. The lakes of Ranthambore are the best locations for bird viewing. You can also explore the nearby villages of Ranthambore.

In the evening enjoy wildlife show at the resort. After bonfire camp dinner stay overnight.

Day 06 : Ranthambhore - Jaipur: By Road 175 Kms/4 hr

Royal Rajput Fort in Jaipur Post breakfast, drive to Jaipur. Enroute drive past the scenic villages of Rajasthan. On arrival at the pink city check-in at the hotel.

Jaipur, the erstwhile state of the Kachawas Rajputs is a vibrant city steeped in history. The major attractions are the royal forts and palaces and the colorful culture and tradition. In Jaipur one will see the replica of the culture of Rajasthan.

In the evening visit the Birla temple. And you can enjoy a rickshaw ride to have a bird’s eye view of the city. In every nook and corner of the city you will see pink hues. After an exotic dinner stay overnight.

Day 07 : Jaipur
Amber Heritage Fort of Jaipur Post breakfast, explore the Amber Fort Palace perched on a hillock of the Aravalli Hills. The architecture of the fort is a blend of the Hindu and Mughal styles. Enjoy elephant ride to the top of the fort.

Then visit Jal Mahal. Enjoy camel ride here. Post lunch, visit the City Palace, Jantar Mantar, the astronomical observatory. Aflso explore the Hawa Mahal. Then explore the markets of Jaipur.

In the evening a theme dinner will be arranged for you at an ethnic restaurant. After dinner, stay overnight.

Day 08 : Jaipur - Deogarh: By Road 250 km/4 hr
Deogarh Mahal Rajasthan After breakfast, drive to Deogarh. The Rawat of the Deogarh was one of the feudal barons of the Maharana of Udaipur. Deogarh is also known for its miniature school of paintings. The major attraction is the Deogarh Mahal perched on a hill. The main features of the Mahal are its old battlements, domes, turrets, jharokhas and huge gateways. This Mahal was built by the Rawat Dwarka Dasji as his private residence. This Mahal has been now converted into a heritage hotel.

On arrival check-in at Deogarh Mahal. Explore the villages. After a sumptuous dinner stay overnight.

Day 09 : Deogarh - Udaipur: (By Road 120 km/2 hr)
After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour. Visit the cave temple said to be two thousand years old. And explore the Gokal Vilas Palace perched on a hillock.

Then start your drive to Udaipur, the most romantic city of India. Flanked by three lakes this lake city of Rajasthan offers a romantic and cool environment for holidaying. The major attractions are the Mewar palaces, cenotaphs, gardens and temples.

On arrival take the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. After dinner, stay overnight.

Day 10 : Udaipur
City Palace of Udaipur Post breakfast, proceed for sightseeing in Udaipur. First explore the majestic city palace located on the bank of the Lake Pichola. The ivory doors, mirrored walls, colored glass windows will stun your eyes.

Then visit the Sahelion-ki-Bari Gardens, the Jagdish Temple, Jag Mandir Palace and the local folk Museum. In the evening enjoy motor boat cruise on Lake Pichola. After dinner, stay overnight.

Day 11 : Udaipur - Jodhpur: By Road 280 km/6 hr
Drive to Jodhpur enroute visiting the Ranakpur Jam temples. The main temple of Ranakpur is a masterpiece of Jain architecture and it has 200 pillars. Then continue your drive to Jodhpur and on arrival take the hotel.

Jodhpur, one the princely states of the Marwar Rajputs houses the Mehrangarh Fort, Umaid Bhawan Palace and marble cenotaphs. The main dominating fort is the Mehrangarh Fort perched on a hillock overlooking the Sun City.After dinner, stay overnight.

Day 12 : Jodhpur
Mehrangarh Fort of Jodhpur Today visit the Mehrangarh Fort. Explore the palaces located inside the fort. This fort houses miniature paintings and cradle rooms. Then proceed towards the Jaswant Thada Memorial, the white marble cenotaphs.

The rest of the day is at leisure. You can visit the Jodhpur polo grounds and it is worth mentioning that most of the polo riders of India hail from this city. also visit the markets of Jodhpur.

Day 13 : Jodhpur - Jaisalmer: By Road 300 km/6 hr
Drive to Jaisalmer, the golden desert city of Rajasthan. This golden city is located amidst the Thar Desert and offers vast stretches of sand dunes. The dominating fort is the Jaisalmer Fort, the only living fort of India. The Yadava clan and a Bhaiti Rajputs built this city after shifting their capital from Ludurva.

On arrival take the hotel. In the evening enjoy folk dance and music programme.

Day 14 : Jaisalmer
Explore the giant Jaisalmer Fort. This is the only living fort in India where the common people live. The fort also houses some Jain temples. The red sandstone building dominates the whole city.

Visit the Patwon-Ki-Havelies, Salim-Singh-Ki-Haveli and Gandhi Sagar Tank. Then drive to the Sam sand dune village and check-in at a camel tent. Enjoy camel ride till afternoon. Stay overnight at the tent. The evening will be enlivened my music and dance.
Day 15: Jaisalmer - Bikaner: By Road 330 km/6 hr
Return back to the hotel in the morning. After breakfast check out and drive to Bikaner camel city.

Bikaner is the city of Rajasthan which has a medieval landscape and aura. This city is dotted with forts and palaces and desert landscapes. In every nook and corner of the city the tourist will get something to explore.

On arrival take the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 16 : Bikaner - Mandawa: By Road 180 km/4 hr
Bikaner Fort Rajasthan After breakfast, visit the Junagarh Fort, camel-breeding farm, the one of its kind in Asia and the rat temple.

The drive to Mandawa, a town of Shekhawati region of Rajasthan. This town houses the painted havelis which are the major attractions to the art lovers. The main attractions are the Mandawa Fort and the havelis.

On arrival check-in at your heritage hotel. After dinner, stay overnight.

Day 17 : Mandawa - Delhi: By Road 250 km/5 hr
In the early morning proceed for your sightseeing tour in Mandawa. Explore the painted havelis of Mandawa. Visit the Chowkhani Haveli, Gulab Rai Ladia Haveli, Lakshminarayan Ladia Haveli, Mohahanlal Saraf Haveli and Bhagchandika Haveli.

Your Rajasthan Tour with Taj Mahal comes to an end. Then drive to Delhi and on arrival transfer to the airport.
