Day 1: Delhi - Leh
As your Nubra valley trekking tour package starts today, our GHIJ representative will arrange for your transfer to the New Delhi airport from where you will board a flight to Leh, the beautiful city located at 3500 metres. Located on the banks of the river Indus, Leh is one of the most enchanting destinations in the lap of Himalayas.On arrival at Leh, our GHIJ representative will arrange for your hotel transfer. Take the rest of the day off for acclimatization.
Day 2: Leh
After enjoying a hearty breakfast, we would go for a half day sight-seeing tour to the Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, Leh Gompa and the local bazaar of the city. In the second half of the day, we would go for a trip to Spituk, Phyang and Shankar gompas. Stay overnight at the hotel.Days 3: Leh
We would go for a pleasure trip to Shey, Thiksey and Hemis Gompas in the first half of the day today. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.Days 4: Leh - Uleytokpo (66 kms/2 hours)
Today in the morning, we would leave for Uleytokpo and would visit Basgo castle and Likir Gompa on the way. After having a delicious lunch, we would visit Alchi Gompa, located on the banks of river Indus. Founded by Ringchen Zangpo, the great translator; this is an amazing place to be. You will see Kashmiri influence on the architecture of this gompa. Spend the evening in leisurely activities. Stay overnight at Uley deluxe camp.Days 5: Uleytokpo - Lamayuru - Uleytokpo (124 kms return trip)
In the morning today, we would go for a trip to Lamayuru and would visit the Lamayuru gompa, perched on a high rocky terrain. Several thangka paintings here would certainly delight you. Return back to Uleytokpo via Resong monastery. Stay overnight at Uley camp.Day 6: Uleytokpo - Leh
We return back to Leh today. After arriving at Leh, a GHIJ representative would arrange for your hotel check in. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 7: Leh
Another day of local sight-seeing awaits you here at this wonderful city of Leh. Spend time getting accustomed to the local culture here.
Day 8: Leh - Nubra (124 kms/6 hours)
We begin our day a bit early today and leave for the Nubra valley. En route, we would pass the highest motorable road of the world, the Khardungla pass at 5570 metres. Visit the famous Samasthanling gompa at sumur in the evening.Day 9: Nubra
Today, we start with an excursion tour to Tegar, Hunder and Diskit monasteries. In the evening, we return to our camp and stay overnight.
Day 10: Nubra - Leh
A journey back to the city of Leh is planned for the tourists today. Upon arrival at Leh, you would check into a hotel with a GHIJ representative and would stay overnight.
Day 11: Leh
After a delicious morning meal, we would go for a half day visit to the Stok Palace and SOS Tibetan refugee camp at Choglamsar. Spend the evening at leisure.
Day 12: leh - Delhi
Our GHIJ representative would arrange for your airport transfer today for an onward flight to Delhi on way back home.
