The fort is widespread over an area of 60 acres of land piece. The fort was built under the Mauryan rule in the country in the 7th century. Chittorgarh fort is located 112 kilometers away from Udaipur high above on a hill near the Gambheri river of Chittorgarh in Rajasthan. In order to reach Chittorgarh one can travel by buses or hire taxis from the city of Udaipur to the fort.
CITY PALACE: - The city palace of Udaipur is situated on the banks of the Lake Pichola and is considered to be the largest palace Complex in the whole of Rajasthan. The city palace was built in the year 1558 and the construction work of the palace got over in the 18th century. The place has many huge gates which are called as "Pols". The main gate which is the entrance to the palace is called the "Bara Pol" which leads to the first courtyard of the palace. The city palace of Udaipur can be reached by either using the local bus services or by hiring the auto rickshaws or taxis.
LAKE PALACE OF UDAIPUR: - Lake palace is one of the most beautiful palace of Rajasthan which is located amidst Lake Pichola on an island called the Jag Niwas island. The palace is the most romantic place to visit in Udaipur which is surrounded by a lake and which adds to the beauty of the palace. The palace was built by Maharana Jai Singh II in 1746. The exceptional scenic view of the palace which seems to be floating on the calm waters can be breath taking. In order to reach the Lake palace one has to hire a boat from the banks of Lake Pichola to reach the palace.
