Day 1: Delhi - Paro
Fly to the Paro International airport on the first day of your trip to Bhutan. You can arrive by road from the hill stations of Darjeeling, Gangtok and Kalimpong. After arriving at Paro, a GHIJ representative will arrange for your hotel transfer and after freshening up at the hotel, you embark the journey of the Bhutan Mount Jumolhari trek tour package.Do visit Paro Dzong that was built in the year 1646 and now houses a number of other organizations. Reach out to the National Museum and see a finest collection of arts, paintings, thankas, statues and antiques. Next stop during our 1st day’s plan would be at Kyichu Lhakhang, the oldest temple. Take a stroll down to the town and market in the evening. Overnight stay at Paro.
Day 2: Paro - Tiger's Nest Monastery
Start early in the morning and hike to Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest) Monastery which is the most revered monastery in the country. The location and setting of place on a vertical rock face above the valley is absolutely breath-taking. After lunch, you can leave for KyichuLhakhang another old temple in Bhutan.Days 3: Paro - ShanaZampa Trek Starts (17 km - 5/6 hrs)
After an early morning drive, we reach Drukgyel Dzong and start the trek that starts from here and reaches up to Sharna Zampa. The walk trek starts with a wide trail through rice and millet field and goes up to the apple orchards. Soon you reach the army post at Gunitsawa. There are several meadows to camp in for the night.Days 4: ShanaZampa - SioThangthankha (16km - 4/5 hrs)
SharnaZampa- Thangthangkha. The goes from near the Pa Chu River with lots of ups and downs. The trail then goes up to the JigmeDorji National Park, where you will be served a fresh and hearty lunch after crossing the bridge towards the left side of this river. Finally you will reach Thangthankha from where you will have your first view of the sacred mount Jamolhari. Overnight stay.Days 5: Thangkhankha - Jangothang (19km - 5/6 hours)
After an early morning tea and light breakfast, grab a chance to have a great view of Mount Jomolhari. The trek will move up to the Paro Chhu valley, which is divided into patches of alpine meadows and forest tree patches. Lunch would be served at one of the many yak herder’s camp. Afterwards, the trek would continue and you pass the villages Soe Takethang and Dangochang. Eventually you reach to your camping site, Jangothang which is one of the most beautiful camping sites in the lap of the mountains.Day 6: Paro - Delhi
On completion of a wonderful retreat in Bhutan, you can fly to Delhi airport on this day. Our GHIJ representative will arrange for your airport transfer and ensure that you board the flight safely after a wonderful Bhutan Mount Jumolhari trek tour.
