The Tourism department of Bihar has decided to promote &ldquovillage tourism&rdquo in the remote access area of Bihar. Proposal of International Cruise Terminal in Mumbai

Chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Prithviraj Raj Chavan said that state government is planning to build an international cruise terminal at Mumbai port to magnetize international cruise tourists from Europe and us who now are moving towards to either Malaysia are Singapore. State government sends a proposal to central government of India. In this proposal state government said Mumbai Port has a lot of potential and Mumbai port could be destinations of International cruise tourists and grab more foreign tourists. This announcement is address by Maharashtra CM at the convention of Indian Association of Tour Operators. He said if international cruise terminal get setup it also help us to improve our economy. He also said that we have getting a number of requests from the tour operators as well as passengers who wants to use the services of cruise terminal. Tourism minister of Maharashtra Mr. Chhagan Bhujbal said Maharashtra received a record number of foreign tourists in year 2010-11 most of the international tourist use Mumbai as gateway of India tourism.

Government Planning To Develop Special Tourism Zones

Madhya Pradesh tourism has been decided that 10 special tourism zones will be developed in the state for promoting tourism. The chief minister of Madhya Pradesh Mr. Shiv Raj singh chauhan sanctioned in the meeting of state tourism development council on Monday. These special tourism zones will be developed in Indira Sagar Gandhi Sagar Bansagsar Sanchi Orchha Mandu Khajuraho Datia Tawa Nagar-Madhai and Tamiya-Patalkot areas. For establishment of these projects special concession will given in registration fees stamp duty entertainment tax motor tax etc. The state tourism ministry already identifies tourist activities for each zone as directed by honorable chief minister. for Indira Sagar Gandhi Sagar Bansagar and Tawa Nagar has been selected for water and eco tourism at the same time Datia Khajuraho and Mandu are selected for heritage tourism and tamia will be promote only for eco tourism.He said during last five year the graph of tourists in the state has been increased four times . A state tourism statstic told that in year 2006 only 11 million people will visit state now 44 million tourist has been visited in year 2011. The seven forts of state with public and private ownership has also been identified for heritage tourism these forts are Rampur Fort Guna Arjun Palace Narsingarh-Rajgarh Rani Palace Tikamgarh Rani Palace Ratlam Scindia Boarding House Neemuch Rajgarh Palace Datia and Madhavgarh Palace Satna.

A meeting with the members of the Ports Association of the Indian Ocean Islands APIOI was held by Seychelles Minister for Tourism and Culture Mr. Alain St.Ange. It included representatives from Madagascar Seychelles Mayotte Mauritius and Reunion. These people came to Seychelles to attend the Annual General Meeting. All the members of the association stressed that more efforts are needed to develop and encourage the cruise liner industry in the region. The government of uttrakhand decided to combine Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam and Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam because it&rsquos become easy to promote tourism under one unit in these areas. This decision was taken in the review meeting of tourism department which hosted by chief minister of uttrakhand Mr. Vijay Bahuguna. This chief minister of state said for healthy and better tourism promotion it is essential to GMVN and KMVN come under a single unit. It enhances the tourism popularity of uttrakhand. He also said state has enormous potential of tourism and underlining state give importance to encourage more investors in this sector. The tender process for Yamunotri-Jankichatti and Purnagiri-Chulighat had been received and for 16 other destination is identifying for this process. He gives some direction to the tourism officers for maintain standards of Char Dhams Hemkund Sahib Piran Kaliyar and other tourist places.

Center Sanctioned Big Amount to Odisha Tourism for Tourism Promotion

The tourism ministry of Indian government sanctions 127.95 crore rupees to odisha tourism for developing infrastructure of tourism sector in state for the duration of 11th five year plan. This amount has sanction for 40 tourism project in the state. This information has given by the Minister of State for Tourism Shri Sultan Ahmed during session of rajayasabha. He told in this period ministry has sanctioned 4090.31 crore rupees to all states and union territory Administration for 1226 projects of tourism. He also said that the work of improving infrastructure of tourism sites to the respective state however the matter of ministry the ministry of tourism deployed to provide finance for improving tourism infrastructure. The tourism ministry runs centralized campaign in electronic media and print media and online media in all over the globe. The ministry also takes a part in several International Tourism/Trade fairs exhibitions events to promote Indian tourism and their products.

On Wednesday New Delhi celebrated an event &ldquoHospitality India and Explore the World Annual International Award and Tourism Travel and Trade Fair&rdquo. Indian Railway Included Odisha in Its Buddhist Tourism Circuit

Indian Railway has finally included the Odisha state in its Buddhist Tourism Circuit and the Buddhist itineraries in this state will be experienced by the inter-state special Buddhist Train Mahaparinirvan Express which is run by IRCTC. According to the recent meeting they have planned 2 trial runs of the Mahaparinirvan Express that traverse through different Buddhist destinations of the state. In the first trial run which is scheduled on 20 December 2012 the train will starts from Delhi on its supreme sojourn of 8N/9D journey and the second run will organize on 20 January 2013 same from Delhi with a total journey of 7N/8D which covers the entire Buddhist places of odisha apart from Konark and Puri said by Mr M.R.Patnaik General Manager of Odisha Tourism Development Corporation OTDC.

Including the recent destinations of Odisha i.e.Dhauligiri Lalitgiri Udaigiri Ratnagiri etc the train has its usual halts at Bodhgaya Sarnath Nalanda Rajgir Kushinagar and Lumbini on both the runs. MTDC Kalagram Project For Rural crafters in Nasik

Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation is preparation to set up a kalagram to encourage rural craftsmen. This planned project will have a model place for tourist where they can face to face with rural arts and crafts as well as craftsmen. Investment cost of this project is Rs. 12 crore and this kalagram will spread in near about 15-20 acres land. In this kalagram handicrafts item like clothes crockery jewellery paintings and village related item will available for sell. It is expecting that this project will ready before the forthcoming Kumbh mela which held in 2015. This kalagram will setup near the Nasik said the MTDC Regional Manager Nasik Division Mr. Pradnya Bade-Misal and also said we give opportunity of shopping for tourist who visit this city. Government of Uttrakhand has decided to promote globally the &39Nanda Devi Rajjat&39 Yatra to attract the tourist towards the hill state. This Yatra held once in 12 year it is expected to schedule in the middle of 2013.
