Palace on Wheels Train

The royal coaches of this train have been renovated from the erstwhile coaches of pre-divided India in which the Nizams of Hyderabad and the Viceroys of British India traveled. Palace on Wheels begins its seven day journey from Delhi Safdarjung railway station and then traverses through the travel destinations of royal Rajasthan, Agra in Uttar Pradesh and concludes its weekly journey in Delhi.

Royal Rajasthan on Wheels Royal Rajasthan on Wheels has been operated by the same operators of prestigious Palace on Wheels and its royal journey was started in January, 2009. The destinations of this royal train are same like Palace on Wheels. The coaches of this train are modern coaches and decorated in a royal style with Indian rugs and Persian carpets. The coaches of Royal Rajasthan have been named after the royal residence of erstwhile princely states of Rajasthan such as Hawa Mahal, Chandra Mahal, Surya Mahal, Moti Mahal, Sukh Mahal, Jal Mahal, Padmini Mahal, Kishori Mahal, Phool Mahal, Jogi Mahal, Kumbha Palace, Umaid Palace, and Lalgarh Palace. The main onboard facilities are restro-lounges, spa centre, souvenir shop and lots of other modern facilities. The destinations of the tour itinerary are Delhi, Jaipur, Golden city Jaisalmer, Lake City Udaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Chittorgarh, Bharatpur, and Agra.

Golden Chariot Train

Golden Chariot Train The royal train run by the Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation, Golden Chariot is named after the Hampi stone chariot. This train explores to the tourists the world heritage sites of Karnataka, wildlife destinations, and Goa beaches. Indeed the main attractions of this royal train of India are the Hampi village which houses the ruins of Vijayanagar Empire, and the three heritage sites of Hospet like Belur, Halebid and Sravanabelagola. This train also covers the Kabini and Bandipur, Mysore and Goa. The facilities of this train are restaurants, royal styled coaches, spa, gymnasium, and other onboard facilities. Golden Chariot Train starts its journey from Bangalore to Goa. It runs on two itineraries on separate dates. The new itinerary of this train Splendor of the South covers the destinations such as Bangalore, Chennai, Mamallapuram, Pondicherry, Tiruchirapalli & Thanjavur, Madurai, Thiruvananthapuram & Poovar islands, and Backwaters of Kochi.
