Royal Rajasthan on Wheels has been operated by the same operators of prestigious Palace on Wheels and its royal journey was started in January, 2009. The destinations of this royal train are same like Palace on Wheels. The coaches of this train are modern coaches and decorated in a royal style with Indian rugs and Persian carpets. The coaches of Royal Rajasthan have been named after the royal residence of erstwhile princely states of Rajasthan such as Hawa Mahal, Chandra Mahal, Surya Mahal, Moti Mahal, Sukh Mahal, Jal Mahal, Padmini Mahal, Kishori Mahal, Phool Mahal, Jogi Mahal, Kumbha Palace, Umaid Palace, and Lalgarh Palace. The main onboard facilities are restro-lounges, spa centre, souvenir shop and lots of other modern facilities.
